Old Barbour Jacket and Repair Kit

One of our customers brought her father’s old Barbour waxed cotton jacket in to our office the other day. She originally asked for some information on the repair services, but we were so excited to see the beautifully aged waxed cotton and the old hardware on it, and totally started geeking out on the details (this Border jacket had the different snap buttons and the chunky YKK top pull tab instead of the Barbour ring pull tab that they use now. ) and the special repair kit that came with it.

I especially like this catalog that came in the Thornfroof Repair Kit. Did you know Barbour made that canvas tote bag and the matching thermos (above)? How cute!!!

The repair kit is no longer available sadly, but of course, Barbour offers a comprehensive reproofing, repair and alteration service for Barbour Wax garments. (Find our more on their official website.)
