A duo of Japanese architects won the 2010 Pritzker Architecture Prize, the most coveted award in architecture.  They were praised for their use of everyday building materials to create ethereal structures that shelter flowing, dreamlike spaces.

” The creation of buildings that successfully interact with their contexts and the activities they contain, creating a sense of fullness and experiential richness.” (announced by the prize’s jury yesterday.)
